with this composition by the time I visited. Furthermore, around the time this photograph was taken,
the roof of the Church of Surp Grigor was a hemispherical dome,
and the roof of the Church of Surp Astvatsatsin was conical rather than umbrella-shaped.
The area at the bottom left was once a river,
but by the time this photo was taken, it had become a dry riverbed.
