The commendation by the Chandigarh-Punjab Chapter of the Indian
Institute of Architects ('Architect' is abbreviated to 'Ar.' in India)

At that time, I was given by a leading architect, JIt Kumar Gupte, a book of Le Corbusier, which had been published in 1979 by the Punjab Government for the enlightenment of Chandigarh citizens. It is an English edition of "Les Trois Établissmens Humains" 1945, Paris. It is little known, to having been published in India, its English edition, so I introduce some pages here.

The 'three establishments' are the unit of agricultural exploitation, the industrial unit, and the convenient transportation area for commerce, administration and culture.
